Key Learning Points
Our third theme has introduced the findings from the Women, Work and Violence study, and offered the opportunity to reflect on these findings for one of the three countries studied, through the second part of the Country Case Studies. We also explored how findings from a study can influence policy and practice through effective strategies for ‘research uptake’.
Some of the key learning points from this third unit of study are:
- Cross cutting issues relevant to all three countries included safety during travel, honour and shame, work based harassment, mental health and well-being, backlash as a result of earnings, and benefits arising from engagement with women’s organisations
- It is important to know who your stakeholders are, and use appropriate ways of communicating with different stakeholder groups throughout a project, to ensure that project findings have a significant influence on policy and practice.
Reflection Activity Note down any additional learning points that you feel are significant in your learning journal. |
